Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based approaches such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation strategies to ensure client safety and stability during acute episodes.
• Manage case documentation in electronic medical records (EMR/EHR systems), ensuring compliance with clinical documentation standards and confidentiality policies such as HIPAA.
• Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals, educators, and community agencies to support holistic client well-being.
• Collect data for clinical research projects related to mental health interventions, behavioral health outcomes, or service efficacy.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by staying current with clinical research, best practices in mental health counseling, and relevant medical terminology.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), or equivalent credential.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults, or geriatrics in clinical or community settings.
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, addiction counseling, trauma-informed care including PTSD management, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and data collection; experience with CPT coding, ICD-9/10 coding is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds and those with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Excellent crisis management skills combined with the ability to perform mental health assessments and psychiatric patient care confidently.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to behavioral health and experience working within hospital or medical social work environments is advantageous.
• Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies while delivering compassionate patient care aligned with clinical standards.
