Position Summary
The Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate (LCASA) or equivalent is responsible for providing direct clinical services to individuals struggling with substance use and co-occurring mental health disorders. This role includes assessment, treatment planning, individual and group counseling, documentation, and coordination of care. The clinician will uphold ASPEN’s mission to empower individuals and families on their journey to recovery through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Services
- Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial and ASAM assessments for new and returning clients.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives.
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling using evidence-based therapeutic modalities (CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, etc.).
- Facilitate SAIOP/SACOT group sessions and psychoeducation on relapse prevention, coping skills, and wellness.
- Complete treatment reviews and coordinate discharge and aftercare planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with DHHS, Partners Health Management, and CARF standards.
- Ensure adherence to HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2 confidentiality regulations.
- Track service authorizations, billing codes, and outcome measures (e.g., NC-TOPPS).
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–2 years of clinical experience in substance use or co-occurring disorders treatment.
- Knowledge of ASAM criteria, DSM-5 diagnostic standards, and recovery-oriented systems of care.
- Proficiency in EHR documentation, Microsoft Office, and virtual counseling platforms.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience facilitating SAIOP/SACOT or similar structured group programs.
- Familiarity with Partners Health Management network or Medicaid billing.
- Trauma-informed care, harm reduction, or motivational interviewing training.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Flexible schedule; may include evenings depending on client needs.

Pay: $37.00 - $39.00 per hour
