Licensed Social Worker - Family Empowerment Center- Southwest Philadelphia

Gemma's Family Empowerment Center is currently seeking a Licensed Social Worker to become a team member in our dynamic Family Empowerment Center (FEC). The Family Empowerment Centers primary goal is to partner with parents so that families may achieve optimum stability and growth. Licensed Social Workers Major Responsibilities

  • Provide Clinical Consultation to Supervisory and Case Management staff
  • Link families with resources for housing, education, medical and other specialized services
  • Collaborate with Parenting, Nutrition, and Exercise Partners to manage incoming parenting referrals and coordinate group schedules.
  • Co-Facilitate parenting and adolescent groups
  • Create a community speakers schedule for Parenting Group, staff, and case management meetings.
  • Develop and maintain positive partnerships with community stakeholders and families served by the Family Empowerment Center.
  • Engage in and schedule outreach events with community stakeholders
  • Track supplies, give-a-ways, and gifts provided to enrolled families
  • Serve as liaison to public and charter schools and various other community stakeholders
  • Attend community meetings

Ideal candidates must reside in Philadelphia, PA, or surrounding Tri-State areas. We are also interested in hearing from you if you are willing to relocate to the Philadelphia, PA area.

Education/Training

Master of Social Work, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) preferred with two years of clinical experience.

Skill(s)

Knowledge of office operations; proficient PC skills, including Microsoft Office software, and Electronic Medical Records Systems. Interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with sensitivity with patients, families, office staff, and external parties.

Experience

Three to five years of social work or case management experience in a child welfare agency, prevention services, or behavioral health agency.
