Licensed Social Worker and Professional Counselor

LSW or LPC – Behavioral Health Clinician

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our behavioral health team. The ideal candidate will provide behavioral health services to clients with mental health, substance use, housing, employment, and other psychosocial needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group behavioral health sessions within the scope of licensure.
• Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments.
• Assist with developing and updating individualized treatment plans based on client needs and goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and support.
• Utilize evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing.
• Provide guidance and oversight to QMHS staff as permitted within the clinician’s scope of practice and agency requirements.
• Review client progress and ensure services provided by QMHS staff are consistent with treatment plan goals.
• Connect clients with community resources, including housing, Section 8, employment, transportation, and other supportive services.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with other behavioral health professionals, community providers, and referral sources.
• Participate in treatment team meetings and case consultations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related behavioral health field from an accredited program, as applicable to licensure.
• Current and active Ohio LSW or LPC license.
• Experience working in behavioral health, mental health, or substance use services preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention and case management preferred.
• Knowledge of motivational interviewing and person-centered practices.
• Ability to work effectively with QMHS staff and multidisciplinary treatment teams.
• Strong documentation, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with Ohio Medicaid behavioral health services and documentation requirements is preferred.
