Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed School Therapist to join our dynamic educational team. Duties

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations to identify student mental health needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), attachment-based therapy for children, trauma-informed care, and behavioral therapy.
• Implement crisis management protocols and crisis intervention strategies to support students experiencing acute emotional or behavioral distress.
• Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and external providers to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate, confidential medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and school policies using social work documentation tools and medical terminology.
• Provide specialized counseling services including child & family counseling, school-based counseling, adolescent development support, and working with students with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Engage in data collection and progress monitoring to evaluate treatment effectiveness and adjust interventions accordingly.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a School Therapist or Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent licensure in mental health counseling.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, and families in educational or clinical settings.
• Strong knowledge of mental health counseling techniques including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care.
• Familiarity with special education processes, conflict management, behavior management strategies, and working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays such as autism spectrum disorder.
• Excellent clinical documentation skills adhering to medical records standards; experience using social work documentation tools preferred.
• Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention skills; experience with PTSD care is a plus.
• Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to mental health treatment; understanding of HIPAA compliance is essential.
