About the role

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide individual and group substance abuse counseling and therapy to clients in a residential treatment setting.
  • Conduct individual and group clinical assessments to inform treatment planning.
  • Treat co-occurring disorders within a trauma-informed, Sanctuary Model environment.
  • Maintain a high degree of professionalism and empathy in client interactions, fostering positivity and trust within the treatment center.
  • Apply sensitivity and cultural competence when working with clients from diverse cultural, ethnic, and social backgrounds.
  • Apply working knowledge of Inpatient Detox, Inpatient Residential, PHP, IOP, and OP levels of care to support appropriate client placement and continuity of care.
  • Document client sessions, assessments, and treatment progress in accordance with facility, licensing, and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team, including medical, clinical, and case management staff.
  • Demonstrate professional leadership and model strong interpersonal communication within the treatment team.
  • Perform other clinical duties as assigned by the Clinical Director.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active, unrestricted license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) patients.
  • Working knowledge of ASAM levels of care required.
  • Experience in a residential treatment setting preferred.
  • Recovering professionals in good standing are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues in a treatment environment.
  • Sound clinical judgment and ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
  • Comfort working within a trauma-informed, Sanctuary Model framework.

Pay: $69,065.95 - $83,176.19 per year
