Licensed Professional Counselor- Therapist
Cope & Calm Counseling
About the role
ABOUT THE ROLE
Cope & Calm Counseling is a small private-pay practice built around the belief that therapists can do excellent clinical work without sacrificing flexibility, autonomy, or sustainability. We’re looking for a therapist who wants to grow their skills, develop expertise in treating OCD and anxiety, and be part of a collaborative practice while still having the freedom to build a schedule that works for them.
We care deeply about providing thoughtful, evidence-based therapy, but we also care about creating a workplace where clinicians feel supported, trusted, and encouraged to grow. Prior OCD experience is welcome but not required. What matters most is strong clinical judgment, openness to learning, and a genuine interest in developing specialty skills.
POSITION DETAILS
- W-2, part-time position with opportunity for growth
- $50–$65 per completed clinical session, based on licensure and relevant experience
- $25/hour for required trainings and team meetings
- Approximately 15–18 sessions per week once caseload is established
- Hybrid schedule with at least 50% of sessions provided in person
- Flexible self-scheduling within practice and client-availability requirements
- Free Clinical Supervision
WHAT MAKES COPE & CALM DIFFERENT
Develop a Specialty
We provide structured training and ongoing clinical support to help clinicians develop competency in evidence-based treatment of OCD and anxiety, including assessment, case conceptualization, and exposure-based interventions.
Keep a Sustainable Caseload
We believe therapists can provide excellent care without carrying an overwhelming caseload. This position is designed around approximately 15–18 sessions per week, with health benefits available beginning at 15 sessions per week.
Have Autonomy Without Practicing Alone
You’ll have meaningful control over your schedule and day-to-day work while still having access to weekly individual clinical supervision, case consultation, and a collaborative team.
Build a Career That Works for You
We support clinicians in developing their professional interests and maintaining outside professional work, provided it does not conflict with their responsibilities at Cope & Calm.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Medical insurance with employer contribution
- Dental and orthodontic coverage
- Vision insurance
- Employer-paid $15,000 life insurance policy
- 4 hours of PTO per month when the session minimum is maintained
- PTO paid at your clinical session rate
- Weekly individual clinical supervision at no cost
Health benefits begin after 60 days of employment and require maintaining at least 15 sessions per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide ethical, thoughtful, evidence-based psychotherapy
- Complete clinical documentation accurately and promptly
- Collaborate with our intake coordinator regarding availability and appropriate client assignments
- Participate in weekly clinical supervision and case consultation
- Participate in training and professional development related to OCD and anxiety treatment
- Maintain professional licensure, liability coverage, and HIPAA compliance
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
This position is a good fit for a therapist who values autonomy but doesn’t want to practice alone, wants meaningful clinical mentorship, and is interested in continuing to grow as a clinician while developing specialty expertise.
Candidates should have:
- An active Connecticut license or associate license in an eligible behavioral health discipline
- A genuine interest in developing competency in evidence-based treatment of OCD and anxiety
- Strong clinical judgment and openness to feedback and supervision
- Commitment to ethical, compassionate, evidence-based care
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Ability to provide both in-person and telehealth services
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative team
Prior OCD experience is not required. We’re more interested in finding a clinician who is curious, reliable, clinically thoughtful, and genuinely interested in developing specialty expertise.
