This is a position for a weekend Therapist (Friday-Sunday, hours are flexible). Join my dedicated mental health team as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), where you will play a vital role in providing mental health support. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health needs, including those with co-occurring disorders such as addiction and neurodevelopmental conditions
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapies such as art therapy and gender issues counseling
- Provide direct counseling services to individuals, groups, and families, addressing issues related to disabilities, psychopharmacology, and emotional well-being
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) accurately and efficiently to document client progress, treatment plans, and session notes
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including psychiatrists and medical providers to coordinate comprehensive psychiatric patient care
- Offer specialized counseling for addiction recovery, neurodevelopmental disorders, and gender-related issues to support diverse client needs
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all legal and ethical standards governing mental health practice
Experience
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the relevant state or jurisdiction
- Proven experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders such as mental health conditions combined with substance use challenges
- Demonstrated ability to provide psychiatric patient care within a clinical setting using evidence-based practices
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) management systems for documentation and treatment planning
- Experience delivering addiction counseling, art therapy, and gender issues counseling preferred
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles relevant to mental health treatment is advantageous
- Prior work with individuals who have neurodevelopmental disorders or disabilities is highly desirable
