We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) specializing in Behavioral Health to join our dedicated mental health team. Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, art therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute behavioral or emotional episodes effectively while ensuring patient safety.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services, maintaining compliance with HIPAA and clinical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers—to coordinate comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in EMR/EHR systems following clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.
- Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to inform evidence-based practices and improve service quality for individuals with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Valid state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with specialization or experience in behavioral health.
- Demonstrated expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and psychodynamic therapy.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, Geriatrics, or co-occurring disorders.
- Strong skills in crisis management, behavior management, patient assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation standards.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
- Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using secure platforms while adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Ability to work effectively within outpatient or inpatient settings across clinics or hospital environments; experience with pediatric populations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams; knowledge of special education or pediatric healthcare is a plus.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
