Hope Seed Support Center is growing—and we are looking for exceptional independently licensed Texas LPCs who want to be part of that growth.

Hope Seed is a 501(c)(3) Christian nonprofit mental health and wellness organization serving children, adolescents, adults, and families throughout the Greater Houston community. We also collaborate with schools, churches, businesses, healthcare professionals, and community organizations to expand access to meaningful mental health and wellness support.

As Hope Seed enters an exciting season of expansion, including growing healthcare and community partnerships, we are intentionally building a strong clinical team of counselors who believe in our mission and want to grow with Hope Seed for the long term.

This opportunity is ideal for an experienced counselor who loves clinical work but does not want the administrative burden, overhead, marketing responsibilities, and isolation that often come with operating a private practice.

This is not an LPC-Associate position. Applicants must hold an active, unrestricted Texas LPC license.

About the Role

This is initially a part-time, independent contractor position, with compensation based on completed client sessions.

Hope Seed provides the infrastructure that allows our counselors to focus primarily on what they do best: providing excellent care.

Counselors may provide individual, child/adolescent, family, and/or couples counseling based on their training, experience, and areas of competence.

Clinical areas may include:

• Anxiety and depression
• Child and adolescent behavioral and emotional concerns
• Family dynamics
• Trauma and crisis recovery
• Grief and loss
• Suicide prevention and stabilization
• Stress and life transitions
• Relationship concerns
• Addiction and substance-use concerns
• Emotional regulation and coping skills
• Faith-integrated counseling when appropriate and desired by the client
• Whole-person mental health and wellness

Clinicians are expected to use evidence-informed approaches appropriate to their training and the individual needs of each client.

Responsibilities

• Provide ethical, compassionate, client-centered counseling within the clinician's scope of competence.
• Complete comprehensive assessments and develop individualized, measurable treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies when clinically appropriate.
• Identify risk and appropriately assess and respond to suicide, homicide, abuse, crisis, and other safety concerns.
• Collaborate with Hope Seed clinicians and leadership when cases require additional consultation or coordinated care.
• Involve parents, caregivers, family members, physicians, schools, or other professionals when clinically appropriate and authorized.
• Recognize when clients require services beyond Hope Seed's scope and facilitate appropriate referrals or higher levels of care.
• Maintain professional communication and reasonable responsiveness regarding scheduling and client-care matters.
• Follow Hope Seed policies, procedures, documentation standards, ethical expectations, and standards of professional conduct.
• Participate in the collaborative culture and continued growth of Hope Seed.

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Texas
• Master's or doctoral degree in counseling or a related qualifying clinical discipline from an accredited institution
• Independently licensed — LPC-Associates are not being considered for this position
• Minimum 2 years of post-graduate clinical counseling experience preferred
• Experience providing face-to-face counseling
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Ability to establish compassionate, professional therapeutic relationships
• Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a collaborative organization
• Professional liability/malpractice insurance
• Reliable internet access for telehealth and clinical systems
• Ability to provide consistent weekly availability

Strong preference will be given to clinicians with experience working with children and adolescents.

• TBRI or other trauma-informed approaches

Additional credentials such as LCDC, trauma certifications, TBRI training, or other clinical specialties are highly valued.

Existing insurance credentialing and an individual NPI are helpful but not required for every candidate.

Availability

We are currently prioritizing clinicians who can commit approximately 15–20 hours of weekly availability as their caseload develops.

We are particularly interested in counselors who can offer a combination of:

• Daytime appointments
• Afternoon/after-school appointments
• Early evening appointments
• In-person counseling
• Telehealth

Consistency is important. Our clients deserve clinicians who intend to remain engaged in their care.

There are no office rental fees or traditional private-practice overhead costs for Hope Seed contract clinicians.
