Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) – Dosing Session Monitor (DSM)

Ever Care Therapeutic Services is seeking Licensed Professional Counselors (LPCs) to serve as Dosing Session Monitors (DSMs) for ongoing clinical research.

This is a unique opportunity for qualified licensed clinicians interested in contributing to clinical research while utilizing their professional clinical experience in a structured, non-directive monitoring role.

Position: Dosing Session Monitor (DSM)

Rate: $30/hour

Training: Paid training provided

Start: Immediately

License: Current, active professional license required

DSM Responsibilities

The DSM will provide in-person, non-directive monitoring during participant preparation and dosing sessions. Responsibilities include:

• Remaining present, attentive, calm, and emotionally grounded throughout sessions
• Providing non-directive support to participants
• Recognizing psychological and medical safety concerns
• Remaining neutral and non-judgmental when intense emotional or psychological material arises
• Collaborating with participants and research/site staff when necessary
• Responding appropriately to unexpected situations while maintaining the study protocol

Time Commitment

Selected DSMs will complete approximately 7.5 hours of required training before working with participants, including online coursework and live role-play training. All training must be completed before participating in the study.

During the study, the anticipated commitment includes:

• 1-hour preparatory session
• 4 dosing sessions, approximately one per week for four consecutive weeks
• 1-hour weekly group meeting with DSM supervisors during the dosing period

Qualifications

Applicants must:

• Hold a current, active professional license and be able to practice independently
• Have graduate-level professional clinical training
• Have clinical experience providing psychotherapy outside of a research setting
• Be able to maintain a calm, attentive, non-directive presence for extended periods
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and the ability to identify safety concerns
