Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in clinical counseling and psychotherapy, with a focus on providing high-quality mental health services to individuals and families. This role requires the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including children.

Duties

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case management activities in compliance with ICD-10 and ICD-9 standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients, ensuring a holistic approach to treatment.
• Offer support and guidance to clients dealing with various challenges, including but not limited to emotional distress, behavioral issues, and life transitions.
• Stay informed about developments in the field of mental health and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Engage in case management activities, including referrals to community resources and follow-up on client progress.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and experience with case management practices.
• Familiarity with child family counseling techniques and experience working with children and families.
• Proficiency in clinical counseling methodologies, including psychotherapy approaches tailored for diverse populations.
• Experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build rapport with clients from various backgrounds.
• Commitment to ethical practice and adherence to confidentiality standards within the counseling profession.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
