What You'll Do

As a Licensed Professional Counselor Resident, you'll work alongside experienced clinicians while providing quality mental health services to individuals, families, and groups.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Connect and Heal: Provide individual, family, and group counseling under approved clinical supervision.
• Design and Drive Change: Develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each client's needs and goals.
• Conduct Assessments: Complete biopsychosocial assessments, screenings, and clinical documentation.
• Apply Therapeutic Techniques: Utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based interventions appropriate to your training.
• Collaborate and Learn: Work closely with licensed supervisors and multidisciplinary professionals to provide exceptional client care.
• Grow Professionally: Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, trainings, and continuing education opportunities.
• Celebrate Progress: Help clients build resilience, develop coping skills, and achieve meaningful life goals.

What We're Looking For

• Master's degree in Counseling or a closely related mental health field.
• Virginia Licensed Professional Counselor Resident (Resident in Counseling) registration in good standing, or eligibility to begin residency in Virginia.
• Desire to complete supervised clinical hours toward full LPC licensure.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as CBT and other therapeutic approaches.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
• Compassionate, client-centered mindset with a passion for helping others.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a supportive team environment.
