Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. Duties

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based therapies such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth counseling sessions using modalities like psychotherapeutic techniques, motivational interviewing, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and behavior management strategies.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately in electronic health records (EHR/EMR), adhering to HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Participate in ongoing clinical research and case reviews to refine treatment approaches and stay current with developments in mental health care.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy, mental health counseling, and clinical documentation standards.
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis and billing processes.
• Expertise in working with children, adolescents, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and geriatrics.
• Skilled in crisis intervention, trauma-focused therapy, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and PTSD care.
• Experience working with individuals with co-occurring disorders across inpatient, outpatient, clinic settings or telehealth environments.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, CPT coding for billing purposes, and HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to conduct mental health assessments using evidence-based practices; experience with behavioral health treatment planning is preferred.
• Excellent client communication skills with a compassionate approach toward diverse populations including pediatrics and special education needs.
• Knowledge of medical support services such as psychopharmacology or integrated care models is a plus.

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
