Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Remote Licensed Professional Counselor to join our dynamic mental health team. In this role, you will provide high-quality psychotherapy and counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, through telehealth platforms. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based interventions aligned with clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards.
• Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to foster client engagement and facilitate behavior change.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention and crisis management protocols, ensuring client safety at all times.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and treatment planning best practices.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within EMR/EHR systems, including progress notes, medical records, and treatment updates.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with co-occurring disorders or complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), developmental disabilities, PTSD, or addiction issues.
• Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with advancements in mental health counseling, ICD coding updates, and telehealth therapy best practices.

Requirements

• Valid Georgia state licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC), LCSW, or equivalent credential in good standing.
• Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities in outpatient or inpatient settings.
• Strong knowledge of clinical counseling modalities including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, behavioral management, grief counseling, and psychopharmacology basics.
• Experience delivering telehealth therapy sessions using secure platforms compliant with HIPAA regulations.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnoses and medical documentation standards.
• Ability to perform mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations accurately using medical terminology and clinical research insights.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, case management, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention strategies and experience managing urgent mental health situations remotely is preferred.
• Commitment to ethical practice standards outlined by licensing boards and adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
