About the role

About Sunday Parenting

Sunday Parenting helps parents of children with persistent potty-training challenges get unstuck. Parents come to us after they've already tried the standard advice and it hasn't worked — before they ever speak with you, they've completed an intake about their child's specific situation. You don't start cold. You start with a case brief.

We're looking for a licensed, independently-practicing professional to deliver our 8-session parenting consulting program — working directly with the parent (never the child) on the behavioral and relational dynamics driving the toileting struggle. This is a parenting consulting service provided by licensed professionals, delivered only to parents residing in a state where you hold an active license.

Why This Role Is Different

We're not going to pad this with perks we don't have. Here's what's actually true:

  • Warm, pre-qualified clients — no marketing, no prospecting. Every parent you see has already completed a detailed diagnostic intake. You walk into session one with real background, not a blank slate.
  • Full clinical autonomy. You run the sessions your way. We don't script your clinical work.
  • Zero overhead. No client acquisition cost, no billing admin, no scheduling software to buy.
  • You set your own hours. Full control over your calendar.
  • Meaningful, focused work. Every case is the same well-defined problem area — you develop real depth instead of juggling a generalist caseload.

The Program

  • 8 sessions total per family, one hour each, delivered live over video. Parents may choose to leave in the middle of the program - for any reason.
  • Parenting consulting, not therapy — you work with the parent, not the child directly, on the behavioral and relational patterns underlying the potty-training struggle (power dynamics, boundaries, consistency, parental response patterns)
  • Parents only — you never assess or treat the child
  • Matched only to parents in your licensed state(s) — we only route you parents from states where your license is active
  • You receive a case brief — child's age, history, specific issues, family context, and the parent's own words — before your first session with each family

Compensation

  • $70 per completed 1-hour session, paid weekly.
  • Paid per session, 1099 independent contractor — no insurance billing, no claims, no clawbacks to manage
  • You set your own availability; sessions are scheduled directly onto your calendar

What We're Looking For

  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, or licensed Psychologist/PsyD
  • Experience with family systems, parent-child dynamics, or child behavioral issues — direct potty-training caseload experience is important.
  • Comfortable working with parents as the primary client — consulting them on changing their own behavior, rather than treating the child directly

Requirements

  • At least 3 years practicing as a licensed professional
  • Graduate degree (Master's or Doctorate) in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
  • Licensed to practice independently — no supervision requirement
  • Based in the U.S., holding an active, unrestricted license in at least one state
  • A dedicated, private space to conduct online sessions, with a stable internet connection
  • Must have professional liability insurance coverage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

How to Apply

Submit your resume along with:

  • Every U.S. state where you currently hold an active, independent license (this determines which parents you can be matched with)
  • Any experience with family systems work, parenting consulting, child behavioral issues, and potty training challenges.

We cannot accept interns, or graduates during their supervision period.

Pay: $70.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Flexible schedule
