About Valiant Minds Counseling

Valiant Minds Counseling is a growing outpatient group practice serving the Pittsburgh community through compassionate, individualized, and evidence-based mental health care.

Our practice has particular experience in ADHD, executive functioning, anxiety, trauma, emotional regulation, and related concerns. However, we do not expect every therapist to work with the same populations or practice in the same way.

We welcome clinicians interested in working with adults, children and adolescents, couples, families, trauma, anxiety, neurodivergence, relationships, or other areas that align with their training and interests.

In 2025, Valiant Minds Counseling was recognized as the #2 Psychotherapy Practice in Pittsburgh by BusinessRate®, based on Google Reviews. We view this recognition as a reflection of the trust our clients place in our clinicians and the meaningful therapeutic relationships our team creates.

Compensation

Licensed clinicians currently earn approximately $51–$83+ per completed session, depending on payer and reimbursement rate.

Based on current reimbursement rates, a clinician maintaining a full-time caseload may have the potential to earn approximately $65,000–$100,000+ annually. Earnings are not guaranteed and vary based on completed sessions, caseload size, payer mix, reimbursement rates, cancellations, and time worked throughout the year.

Because this is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity, clinicians are responsible for their own taxes, benefits, professional expenses, and other obligations associated with independent contractor status.
