At Everyday Superheroes Coaching & Wellness (ESCWi), we exist to increase access to quality, culturally responsive mental healthcare for the communities that need it most. We're a telehealth-first, culturally affirming practice serving children, adolescents, adults, and elder adults across diverse communities. We're building a clinical team equipped to understand and serve the lived experiences of the communities we work with, because access to care shouldn't mean asking clients to adapt to a system that wasn't built with them in mind.

The Opportunity

We're hiring Mental Health Therapists and mental wellness practitioners to provide virtual psychotherapy and behavioral telehealth across the lifespan. You'll hold a flexible telehealth caseload addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, anger and impulse challenges, life transitions, coming out, and relationship or family dynamics, among other presentations.

You'll be paneled under our primary providers and, through them, under our contracted insurance panels—giving you the benefits of private practice without the overhead of running one. Our operations and clinical teams handle claims, marketing, referrals, and scheduling, so you can stay focused on client care.

We're also looking for a particular kind of teammate. Clinical skill matters, but so does how you show up for the team: proactive communication, real collaboration, ownership of your caseload and documentation, openness to feedback, and genuine engagement in case consultations and shared learning. We're building a clinical community, not just staffing a caseload.

We're looking for team members who can offer at least 15+ hours per week, with some evening availability preferred, and who thrive in a collaborative, mission-driven environment.

Pay Rate, Remote Position Type, Employment Type

• Pay Rate: $65/hour
• Remote: 100% telehealth
• Position Type: Per Diem
• Employment Type: Independent Contractor (1099); active malpractice insurance required

Responsibilities

• Provide standard 53–60 minute teletherapy sessions across all age groups; child/adolescent or couples/family work optional based on training.
• Complete intakes and assessments, DSM-5-TR diagnosis and/or wrap-around support post-diagnosis, treatment planning, progress notes, and discharge.
• Deliver evidence-based, trauma-informed care (CBT/DBT/ACT/TIC), integrating mindfulness and somatic strategies where appropriate.
• Teach skills for emotion regulation, grief processing, anger and impulse management, communication and relationship skills, and coping with life transitions.
• Coordinate care with ESCWi clinicians and external providers; make referrals as needed; follow risk and safety protocols.
• Document within 48 hours in the EHR; maintain HIPAA compliance and goal-based care plans.
• Communicate proactively with the clinical and operations team about caseload, scheduling, or client needs that require support.
• Participate actively in team case consultations and meetings, contributing to a culture of shared learning and accountability.

Clinical & Cultural Competencies

• We serve a wide range of communities, and we're looking for clinicians who bring the training and fluency to serve them well. Ideal candidates bring some combination of:
• Experience working with clients from diverse racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.
• Experience working with clients from a variety of faith traditions, including those navigating the intersection of spirituality and mental health.
• Experience providing affirming care to LGBTQIA+ clients.
• Experience serving Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities.
• Experience working with immigrant, multilingual, or underserved populations.
• Spanish-speaking or other multilingual abilities preferred.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active license: LMHC, LMFT, or LCSW; independent licensure preferred.
• Education: Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Telehealth and EHR proficiency, with strong grounding in CBT/DBT/ACT/TIC modalities.
• Culturally responsive, trauma-informed practice and comfort working across age groups.
• Active malpractice insurance, reliable tech setup, timely documentation, and clear communication.
• Nice-to-have: EMDR/IFS or somatic training; child/adolescent and/or couples/family therapy experience; multilingual capability.
