Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and evidence-based practices.
  • Deliver individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions via in-person or telehealth platforms, ensuring adherence to clinical documentation standards and HIPAA regulations.
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies and manage crisis situations effectively to ensure client safety and stabilize emotional distress.
  • Maintain detailed clinical documentation including progress notes, treatment plans, medical records, and billing information following medical documentation and coding guidelines like CPT coding.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including case managers, social workers, medical professionals, and educators to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.
  • Engage in ongoing research and data collection efforts to enhance treatment outcomes and support clinical research initiatives.

Requirements

  • Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LGPC, LCPC, LMSW, LCSW) with active state license.
  • Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with pediatrics or geriatrics is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and trauma-focused approaches.
  • Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, EMR/EHR systems for clinical documentation and medical records management.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder; familiarity with special education is advantageous.
  • Ability to handle crisis situations effectively through crisis management skills and behavior management strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, clinical ethical guidelines, medical terminology, and trauma-informed care principles.
  • Experience delivering telehealth therapy services using secure platforms; comfortable working in outpatient or clinic environments including hospital settings is preferred.

Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
