Diversity Family Health is increasing the psychotherapy providers available to address the mental health needs of the LGBTQ+ community we serve. In addition to common mental health issues and those seen more in the LGBTQ+ community, there are opportunities for specialized groups and relationship counseling. Position Summary: To provide effective, efficient and appropriate therapy services to DFH patients in a primary care setting in order to serve the community’s mental healthcare needs.
Position Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients (existing, new and prospective) to determine need for services to address mental health and/or substance use and initiate treatment or refer to community resources as appropriate.
- Develop and implement treatment plans with patients including diagnosis, presenting problem, patient goals, and objectives.
- Provide individual outpatient therapy, with the potential to offer groups and/or family or couples counseling depending on patient need and provider training.
- Address patient concerns and goals while maintaining consistent communication with the patient.
- Complete documentation for patient care in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality of records related to treatment.
- Coordinate and collaborate on care with other providers within the clinic when appropriate.
- Maintain knowledge and information about applicable community resources and share information with other providers and patients as needed.
Position Requirements
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or related field
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Valid and current LPC or LCSW License in the state of Oklahoma and in good standing with applicable licensing board
- Knowledgeable about and affirming of the LGBTQ+ community.
- Ability to make psychosocial assessments and develop and implement care plans
- Ability to communicate effectively, clearly, and concisely with others both verbally and in writing
- Ability to utilize computer equipment and software for internal communications and accessing electronic medical records
- Consistently demonstrate positive/proactive customer service attitude
- Consistently maintain ethical behaviors exemplary of quality public service and fair standards, inclusively, among all employees and members of the public
- Ability to work as an effective team member; function independently, exercise sound judgment and initiative; be flexible to shift priorities; maintain confidentiality; establish and maintain effective interpersonal work relationships, effectively assist providers; work toward goals and objectives.
- Ability to follow DFH Clinic practice guidelines – including adhering to the DFH immunization policy and the DFH Mission and Vision and DFH Corporate Compliance Policy.
- Ability to receive constructive feedback including evaluation of provider’s productivity and practice attributes.
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
