Clarity Counseling (https://claritycounselingkc.com) is seeking compassionate, independently licensed Mental Health Therapists for flexible part-time 1099 positions in our growing Leawood, Kansas private practice. Build your preferred client caseload while serving children, adults, and families with the support of our collaborative team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to understand clients’ emotional, psychological, and behavioral needs.
- Develop personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s unique circumstances and goals.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities.
- Maintain detailed and accurate medical documentation of client progress, treatment interventions, and outcomes in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including physicians, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
- Educate clients on mental health conditions, coping skills, and available resources to promote recovery and resilience.
- Ensure compliance with all licensing regulations, confidentiality standards, and ethical guidelines in mental health practice.

Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
- Current, independent Kansas license (LSCSW, LCPC, LPC, LMFT, or equivalent)
- Professional liability (malpractice) insurance coverage
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR)
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage your own caseload
- Valid Kansas driver's license
Preferred
- Experience in private practice or outpatient behavioral health.
- Specialized training or certification in EMDR, Play Therapy, DBT, CBT, ACT, Trauma-Informed Care, or related evidence-based approaches.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, couples, or families.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
