Job Overview

Our outpatient clinic program is growing! We are seeking a dedicated an passionate Mental Health Therapist to join our clinic team! The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys making a difference in the lives of children with exceptional needs and their families, thrives in a fast-paced setting, has excellent communication and organization skills; and is a strong team player, who loves to learn, within a unique, multi-disciplinary pediatric outpatient setting.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations using a combination of standardized assessments and clinical observations
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to children with mental health therapy needs
  • Provide direct mental health services for the outpatient clinic in a safe, nurturing, environment, using a family-centered approach to children with mental health therapy needs
  • Provide education and support to family/caregivers and other professionals
  • Independently complete all scheduling duties to fulfill and maintain expected caseload requirements within appropriate timeframes provided
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide a comprehensive treatment approach
  • Maintain accurate documentation with medical necessity of all progress notes, initial and updated treatment plans, evaluations, re-evaluations, and discharge notes
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed within expected timeframes provided on a weekly basis
  • Making and receiving phone calls and emails related to: scheduling, patient care with clients, families, care team, and community contacts as needed
  • Follow insurance plan requirements to ensure appropriate authorizations are in place as needed prior to providing services
  • Participate in continuing education programs to ensure up-to-date knowledge and skills in the field

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in MSW, Mental Health Counseling, or equivalent
  • Valid licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (e.g., LPC, LMFT, LCSW) within the state of New Hampshire
  • Familiarity with ICD-10 coding systems for billing purposes and clinical documentation standards
  • Must have an NPI number and established CAQH profile
  • Proven experience in psychotherapy techniques including motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, and evidence-based practices
  • Experience working in outpatient clinics or school environments is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage clients compassionately while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Current or willing to obtain BLS/CPR certification is preferred

Pay: $62,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
