Licensed Mental Health Therapist

Job Summary

Atlas Recovery is seeking a compassionate, trauma-informed Licensed Mental Health Professional to join our multidisciplinary outpatient team in Portland. This role primarily focuses on providing comprehensive mental health assessments and individual psychotherapy to our adult clients, many of whom are enrolled in the Oregon Health Plan (OHP/Medicaid).

The ideal candidate will have expertise in treating dual-diagnosis populations (co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders) and feel confident navigating Medicaid assessment and documentation standards to help clients stabilize, recover, and thrive.

We have a lot of room for growth within our organization. We are a well established SUD program and are currently building out our MH services. Additionally, we have a LCSW staffed who can provide supervision to CSWA's at our cost.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Licensure: Active, unencumbered license in the state of Oregon as an LCSW, CSWA, QMHP.
• Education: Master’s Degree in Social Work, Professional Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or related behavioral health field from an accredited university.
• Strong familiarity with the Medicaid/OHP population and Oregon Health Authority (OHA) documentation requirements preferred.
• Experience with substance use disorders or dual-diagnosis clients strongly preferred.
• Competencies: Strong crisis intervention skills, cultural humility, trauma-informed approach, and proficiency in EHR software.
• Conduct comprehensive Mental Health Assessments (MHAs) for incoming clients utilizing DSM-5-TR diagnostic criteria.
• Identify co-occurring conditions, developmental histories, risk factors, and strengths to determine appropriate levels of care (OP, IOP, PHP).
• Complete initial clinical formulations and individualized Person-Centered Service Plans (PCSPs) adhering to OARs (Oregon Administrative Rules) and Medicaid standards.
• Individual Psychotherapy:
• Provide evidence-based, individual psychotherapy (CBT, DBT skills, EMDR, ACT, or trauma-informed frameworks) to clients presenting with anxiety, depression, PTSD, personality disorders, and co-occurring substance use.
• Hold a dedicated caseload of individual clients, maintaining regular weekly or bi-weekly session schedules.
• Clinical Documentation & Compliance:
• Complete timely clinical documentation (MHAs, progress notes, treatment plan reviews, and discharge summaries) within 24–48 hours in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
• Conduct ongoing risk assessments and safety planning (Columbia-SSRS) as clinically indicated.
• Collaboration & Care Coordination:
• Participate in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings, case staffing, and clinical supervision.
• Coordinate care with internal staff (CADCs, CRMs, peer support specialists) and external Medicaid community partners (case managers, primary care providers, housing specialists).

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
