We believe clients come to therapy because they want something to change. Our clinicians strive to understand what is driving a client's concerns, address problems at their roots, and use current, evidence-informed approaches to help clients experience meaningful improvement.

We specialize in trauma treatment across the lifespan and also work extensively with children, adolescents, and families. We strive to stay current with advances in mental health treatment and continually develop our clinical skills.

We're looking for a therapist who shares that philosophy—and who wants to continue growing as a clinician in a small, supportive, family-oriented practice.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for a clinician who:

• Is licensed or associate-licensed in North Carolina as an LCMHC, LCMHCA, LCSW, LCSWA, LMFT, or LMFTA
• Is committed to providing high-quality, evidence-informed treatment and addressing the root of client concerns, rather than focusing exclusively on symptom management
• Has training in trauma treatment or is willing to complete training in an evidence-based trauma treatment model within the first six months
• Values continued learning and professional growth
• Can work independently while also collaborating with colleagues on clinical cases
• Demonstrates strong professional judgment, communication, documentation, behavior, boundaries, and professional appearance
• Is comfortable working with children, adolescents, adults, and/or families
• Is comfortable working with clients from a variety of backgrounds, especially clients for whom Christian faith or spirituality is an important part of their lives
• Can appropriately integrate a client's faith into counseling when requested while maintaining sound clinical and ethical practice

Training in approaches such as EMDR, IFS, CPT, or other evidence-based trauma models is especially valued. Clinicians without qualifying trauma-model training will be expected to obtain appropriate training within six months. External training and associated costs are the responsibility of the clinician.

Basic Requirements

Clinicians must:

• Maintain appropriate North Carolina professional licensure or associate licensure
• Successfully complete a criminal background check and employment screening
• Have or obtain an appropriate laptop or computer and access to Microsoft Office, which are necessary for our EHR and clinical documentation
• Maintain appropriate device security and comply with Aspen Mental Health's privacy, confidentiality, HIPAA, and technology-security requirements
• Complete required trauma-model training within six months if not already appropriately trained

Position: Independent Contractor (1099)

Fee Split: varies for hrs worked

Hours: Approximately 20–35 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible

Format: Primarily in-person with some telehealth

LCMHCAs receive clinical supervision at no cost.
