Licensed Mental Health Therapist

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding to accurately identify client needs.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions employing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization.
• Provide specialized counseling services including grief counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, gender issues counseling, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
• Maintain detailed medical documentation and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations while accurately coding services using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans to coordinate patient care effectively across inpatient, outpatient, or clinic settings.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend access to mental health services while ensuring confidentiality and quality of care.
• Engage in clinical research activities or data collection efforts to support continuous improvement of therapeutic approaches and patient outcomes.

• Hold a valid state license as a Mental Health Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrate experience with psychotherapy techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental disorders.
• Experience providing crisis management and crisis intervention services in various settings including inpatient or outpatient clinics.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; familiarity with CPT coding is preferred.
• Strong skills in medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance to ensure confidentiality and proper documentation practices.
• Experience working with telehealth platforms is highly desirable to facilitate remote patient care.
• Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
