About the role
Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to provide comprehensive mental health services within an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic practices, including psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and adjustment. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on individuals by delivering patient-centered care through person. The counselor will be responsible for conducting mental health assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and supporting clients across diverse populations, i adults with co-occurring disorders.
Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as psychodynamic therapy, behavioral therapy, and trauma-focused interventions.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including progress notes, treatment plans, and medical records using EMR/EHR systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management efforts and ensure continuity of care across inpatient, outpatient, or community settings.
- Engage in ongoing research and professional development to stay current with clinical guidelines, ICD coding updates, and emerging therapeutic modalities. Thii sis a 1099 position potential earnings 80k-100k annually
Skills
- Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and behavioral health interventions.
- Proficiency in crisis management techniques for individuals experiencing mental health emergencies or co-occurring disorders.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-10), CPT coding, and medical documentation standards.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy within electronic health record systems.
- Commitment to evidence-based practice principles combined with a compassionate approach to client care.

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
