Licensed Mental Health Counselor

• Conduct thorough intake assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions using evidence-based practices.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety during emergencies.
• Provide specialized counseling for diverse populations including children, adolescents, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities or autism, and those experiencing emotional and/or behavioral challenges.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on case management plans to optimize patient care outcomes.
• Utilize telehealth platforms to extend mental health services remotely while maintaining high-quality patient engagement.

• Hold an active state license as a Mental Health Counselor, Social Worker, or equivalent credential with demonstrated experience in clinical counseling.
• Proven expertise in psychotherapy techniques such as motivational interviewing, social work practices, crisis management, and addiction counseling.
• Experience working with children, adults, families, couples, individuals with disabilities—including autism—in an outpatient setting.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic classification and CPT coding for billing purposes.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, behavioral health concepts, and mental health assessment tools.
• Strong skills in patient care, behavior management, trauma-informed care (including PTSD), and other applicable therapy interventions.
• Experience with HIPAA compliance, medical records management, and electronic health record systems.
• Excellent communication skills for intake interviews, patient assessment, and collaboration with healthcare teams.
