Licensed Mental Health Counselor

About the Opportunity

Specialized Counseling Co. is expanding its remote team and is seeking an independently licensed mental health therapist who is authorized to practice in Colorado, Hawaii, or Nevada.

This is a flexible 1099 independent contractor position designed for clinicians who prefer to start with a smaller caseload and gradually increase their client hours based on their availability. All services are delivered through secure telehealth platforms, including video and phone sessions.

Our practice prioritizes individualized treatment, clinical independence, and clear communication. We welcome therapists from diverse clinical backgrounds and specialties.

Position Details

• 1099 independent contractor position
• Fully remote (telehealth services only)
• Flexible, self-directed schedule
• Begin with a small caseload and expand over time
• Provide individual therapy sessions
• Part-time initially, with opportunity for increased hours

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual therapy via secure video or phone sessions
• Conduct intake assessments and evaluate client needs
• Develop and maintain personalized treatment plans
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches
• Monitor client progress and modify treatment as appropriate
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow all ethical, legal, and professional guidelines
• Maintain consistent communication regarding scheduling and client care

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
• Active, independent clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in Colorado, Hawaii, or Nevada
• Authorization to practice in at least one of these states
• Active CAQH profile or ability to apply upon hire
• Experience providing individual therapy services
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Comfortable using telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems
