Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to accurately identify client needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Provide direct support through individual, group, family, and child/youth counseling sessions tailored to client-specific goals.
• Utilize motivational interviewing techniques to enhance client engagement and facilitate positive behavioral change.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety.
• Document clinical notes, progress reports, and treatment outcomes in compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards using EMR/EHR systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive care for clients with complex needs such as autism spectrum disorder or developmental disabilities.

Skills

• Extensive experience in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and art or dance therapy.
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and utilizing ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10) for accurate diagnosis documentation.
• Strong knowledge of clinical documentation standards, treatment planning processes, and medical terminology relevant to mental health care.
• Skilled in crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies for diverse populations including pediatrics and individuals with disabilities.
• Experience working with children and youth populations in outpatient settings; familiarity with pediatric psychosocial issues is highly desirable.
• Telehealth experience is preferred to effectively deliver remote counseling services while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
• Ability to perform intake evaluations efficiently while adhering to clinical ethical guidelines; experience with medical records management is a plus.
• Knowledge of evidence-based practices such as applied behavior analysis (ABA), social work principles, psychopharmacology basics, and diagnostic evaluation procedures for co-occurring disorders.

Pay: $44.58 - $53.00 per hour
