Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) – Full-Time W-2
Life’s Path Counseling | DeLand, Florida
Life’s Path Counseling is a growing group mental health practice serving the DeLand and West Volusia community. We are looking for a Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who wants the stability and support of a W-2 position.
This position is designed for a clinician who enjoys doing therapy, values being part of a collaborative clinical team, and wants to build a long-term home within a growing practice.

Compensation
Life’s Path uses a guaranteed base salary + performance incentive model.
Guaranteed Base Salary
Starting at $60,000 annually, depending on experience, clinical background, schedule, and overall fit.
Performance Incentive
Clinicians may earn additional incentive based on performance.
The incentive is intended to reward clinicians who consistently meet established utilization and performance expectations. Performance is evaluated over time rather than based on one unusually slow week or month.
Specific incentive criteria will be reviewed with candidates during the hiring process and outlined in the employment agreement.
Full-Time Clinical Structure
This is a 40 hour perweek full-time clinical position structured around:
- 35 clinical/client-facing hours per week
- 3 protected professional hours per week
Protected professional time may be used for:
- Clinical documentation
- Treatment planning
- Care coordination
- Client communication
- Required meetings
- Other professional responsibilities
Team Meetings
Life’s Path values communication without filling clinicians' calendars with unnecessary meetings.
Full-time W-2 clinicians participate in a paid clinical team meeting approximately every other week, generally lasting 60–90 minutes.
Additional meetings may occur when clinically or operationally necessary, but the goal is to keep meetings purposeful and limited.

Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for an LMHC who is:
- Independently licensed in Florida
- Clinically strong and ethically grounded
- Dependable with documentation and communication
- Comfortable maintaining a full clinical caseload
- Interested in being part of a collaborative practice rather than simply renting space
- Able to work independently while also participating as a member of a clinical team
- Interested in developing long-term relationships with clients and the practice
- Open to feedback, professional development, and continued growth
About Life’s Path
Life’s Path Counseling is an in-person-focused group mental health practice in DeLand, Florida serving clients throughout West Volusia and surrounding communities.
We are intentionally building a practice where clinicians have the infrastructure of a larger organization while maintaining the personal connection of a smaller clinical team.
That means providing clinicians with support around referrals, scheduling, billing, credentialing, operations, and practice growth while allowing therapists to concentrate on what they were trained to do: provide excellent mental health care.
We are not simply looking to fill an office.
