Licensed Mental Health Counselor/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker to join our esteemed private practice. As an LMHC/LCSW, you will provide individual, couples, and family counseling services, assisting clients in overcoming various mental health challenges. Responsibilities

• Conduct intake assessments to gather comprehensive client information, including medical history, mental health symptoms, and treatment goals.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on client needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Provide individual, couples, and family counseling sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic modalities.

• Assist clients in exploring their emotions, identifying patterns of thoughts and behaviors, and developing effective coping strategies.

• Foster a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship with clients, actively listening to their concerns and providing empathetic support.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and psychologists, to ensure holistic care for clients.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, ensuring confidentiality and adhering to ethical guidelines and legal requirements.

• Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in the field of mental health counseling through ongoing professional development and continuing education.

Requirements

• Valid state licensure as an LMHC/LCSW or equivalent.

• Master's degree in Counseling, Psychology, or related field from an accredited institution.

• Demonstrated experience providing counseling services to individuals, couples, and families.

• Strong knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based counseling techniques.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trusting relationships with clients.

• Empathy, compassion, and sensitivity to the needs of diverse populations.

• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and handle confidential information with utmost discretion.

• Proficiency in maintaining accurate and organized client records.

We are open to consider intern students or limited permit holders, however our clinician is an LMHC and is limited to only supervising LMHC candidates. We encourage graduate students to apply for internship. We can hire a fully licensed LCSW who is complete with obtaining clinical supervision hours.
