Overview

Join our dynamic mental health team as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological support to diverse populations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to deliver both individual and group therapy across inpatient, outpatient, and telehealth settings. You will utilize your expertise in clinical counseling, behavioral health, and diagnostic evaluation to foster positive outcomes for clients of all ages, including children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Your compassionate approach and professional skills will help empower individuals on their journey toward mental wellness.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and psychological testing, to develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based psychotherapy using modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care for PTSD, addiction counseling, and behavioral health interventions.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions tailored to client needs, including working with children, individuals with autism or disabilities, and geriatric populations.
  • Manage crisis intervention situations promptly and effectively to ensure client safety and stability.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations; document patient progress and treatment outcomes diligently.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital, outpatient, or school settings to coordinate care plans and support holistic patient well-being.
  • Supervise clinical interns or less experienced staff while fostering professional development within the team.

Experience

  • Proven experience in child & family counseling, working with children or adolescents in clinical or school environments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention techniques and managing acute mental health episodes.
  • Prior hospital experience or familiarity with inpatient psychiatric care is highly desirable.
  • Strong background in research related to behavioral health, psychological testing, and diagnostic evaluation methods.
  • Experience providing telehealth services using secure platforms to expand access to mental health care.
  • Knowledge of working with individuals with autism or disabilities across various age groups; familiarity with social work principles is a plus.
  • Skilled in conducting intake assessments, patient care planning, and administering psychotherapy across diverse populations including pediatrics and geriatrics.
