Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Hope For The Journey

Round Rock, TX · Remote or hybrid $45 – $115 an hour Fulltime 3 weeks ago

About the role

Licensed Clinician (Full-Time)

Hope for the Journey Collective

Location: Round Rock and Austin, TX, plus telehealth across Texas

Employment type: Full-time, W-2 employee

Compensation: $54–$112.50 per clinical hour, depending on licensure and session type · $25 per hour for administrative time

Reports to: Heather Hammock, LMFT, Clinical Director

Start date: 10.7.26

Why this role is different

EMDR consultation toward certification — and toward Approved Consultant status — at no cost to you, from an EMDRIA-Approved Consultant. Most group practices cannot offer this, and it is one of the main reasons clinicians stay with us.

You are paid your full session rate for no-shows and late cancellations. Your income does not absorb your clients’ scheduling.

Your administrative time is paid. Orientation (the first full week) and required meetings are compensated at $25 per hour — not folded into your session rate and not expected on your own time.

About us

Hope for the Journey Collective is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit providing trauma-informed therapy in Round Rock and Austin, and online across Texas. We help clients move from surviving to thriving after trauma, anxiety, and depression, using EMDR and other evidence-based approaches.

Because we are a nonprofit, every clinician who joins makes it possible to serve clients at every income level, including those on our sliding scale. Your caseload will include sliding-scale clients.

What we are prioritizing right now

  • Couples therapists
  • Therapists who work with children and/or teens
  • Spanish-speaking therapists
  • Clinicians available evenings and/or weekends

Our EMDR-Trained team treats kids, adults, parents and partners for anxiety, depression, complex trauma, and sexual trauma, with specialties including neurodivergent-affirming care, LGBTQIA+-affirming care, BIPOC-affirming care, sex therapy and kink-affirming care, and Health at Every Size.

Qualifications

Required

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Active, unrestricted Texas license or provisional license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or licensed psychologist)
  • Availability for an average of 25 client sessions per week

Associate-level applicants: We welcome LPC-Associates, LMSWs, and LMFT-Associates who already have a board-approved supervisor in place. We do not provide supervision toward licensure, and we will coordinate with your supervisor as your board requires. If you do not yet have a supervisor, we would still like to hear from you for future openings.

Preferred, and trainable if you are not there yet

  • Prior clinical experience
  • EMDR or other trauma-specific training
  • An anti-oppression, anti-racism approach to clinical work

What the work actually looks like

We would rather you know this before you apply than find out in week three.

  • 25 client sessions per week on average, measured across the month rather than as a weekly quota.
  • Clinical hours pay $54–$100 per session hour, depending on your licensure and the type of session.
  • Administrative time pays $25 per hour. This covers documentation, consultation group, and required staff meetings. Your first week of orientation is paid at this rate, as are all required meetings afterward.
  • No-shows and late cancellations pay the full session fee to you.
  • Pay is tied to sessions delivered. We work hard to keep schedules full, and we will tell you honestly during the interview what our current referral volume looks like. If a full and predictable caseload from day one is what you need, we want you to know that before you apply.
  • Location: [state clearly — which office, whether both, and roughly how much telehealth]

Benefits

  • Health and dental insurance
  • Paid time off
  • 401(k)
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Free EMDR consultation toward certification and/or Approved Consultant status

  • Structured onboarding and ongoing support for your clinical growth and resiliency
