Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Mental Health and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Clinician to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive mental health and addiction counseling services, utilizing evidence-based practices to support individuals facing co-occurring disorders. Duties

• Conduct thorough client assessments using DSM-5 criteria and clinical documentation standards to determine mental health and substance use disorder diagnoses.
• Deliver individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing techniques such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s needs.
• Manage crisis situations effectively through crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to ensure client safety and stability.
• Facilitate intake evaluations, treatment planning, and ongoing case management to support clients’ recovery goals.
• Document all clinical interactions accurately within Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including medical professionals, social workers, and community organizations—to coordinate holistic patient care.
• Provide specialized addiction counseling and behavioral health services for individuals with substance use disorders, including co-occurring mental health conditions.

Requirements

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential allowing for TRP and SUD classes.
• Proven experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding, and medical terminology relevant to behavioral health care.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation standards, EMR/EHR management systems, and medical records maintenance.
• Skilled in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, and group therapy facilitation.
• Experience working with diverse cultural backgrounds in various settings including hospitals, community clinics, or home-based care environments.
• Ability to perform client assessments in therapy sessions, manage crisis situations effectively, and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Knowledge of addiction medicine principles, trauma-informed care—including PTSD care—and applied behavior analysis techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration; familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality at all times.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
