Licensed Master Social Worker

North Brooklyn Psychotherapy Associates (NBPA) is seeking a fee-for-service LMSW Psychotherapist to join our team!

NBPA is a group psychotherapy practice offering residents of Brooklyn and its surrounding communities access to high quality, affordable therapy services for individuals and couples. Our therapists represent a diverse and caring group of highly trained clinical social workers who are committed to helping clients achieve their mental health goals.

We are looking for an LMSW to provide therapy full-time (20-30 sessions per week) to clients presenting with a range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and work-related stress. Experience working with couples, LGBTQ+/TGNC and BIPOC communities is a plus. This is currently a full-time remote position; therefore, you must have the ability to conduct teletherapy in a secure and private location.

Particular consideration will be given to candidates with at least one year of psychotherapy experience and/or post-graduate training. Interest in psychodynamic psychotherapy is a plus. Responsibilities:

• Be able to work independently and provide weekly psychotherapy to clients
• Participate in individual and group supervision to discuss cases and develop clinical skills
• Remain organized and up to date with all required paperwork
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers and make referrals where appropriate

Qualifications:

• LMSW license in New York State
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Familiarity with community mental health resources
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build a strong therapeutic alliance with clients
• Strong desire to improve clinical skills and advance professionally

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
