About us

New Beginnings Christian Counseling is a private practice located in Yorba Linda. We are Bible believing, Christ following, Jesus loving group practice who love helping people heal. We specialize in incorporating Biblical Truths and Clinical Tools to help our clients work through trauma, negative experiences, anxiety, fear, grief and loss while integrating our Christian faith. We love the opportunity to meet and support anyone experiencing personal or relational distress. Our therapy services extend to individuals 8+ and couples. Flexibility is key.

Our ideal employee is Bilingual English and Spanish preferred, interested in developing their clinical skills in a Christian private pay setting willing to work in-person and online as needed. They are comfortable incorporating prayer and scripture into the therapy space and willing to work with children and couples. They must be flexible, motivated, and willing to take initiative. We strive to promote a healthy work-life balance and thus you will not exceed 20 client sessions per week. If you are looking for a place to gain your hours as quickly as possible and have a desire of seeing a minimum of 30 clients per week, we are probably not the right practice for you. The employee will be paid for clinical hours and admin pay (which includes but is not limited to responding to emails from potential clients, consultation calls, client centered advocacy etc).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct mental health assessments and develop treatment plans for clients
  • Provide individual, collateral and group therapy sessions to clients with various mental health concerns
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address client needs
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in a timely manner
  • Stay informed about current research and best practices in mental health counseling

Qualifications:

  • Ability to do in person visits 2-days a week, evening required (3-7pm weekdays; 10-2pm Saturday)
  • Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling or related field.
  • Knowledge of Christian faith and its integration in therapy space preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries
  • Experience with trauma-informed therapy approaches-EMDR, couples therapy preferred
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish preferred
