Licensed Graduate Social Worker (LGSW) OR Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC)

Job Overview

M Jones Companies, on behalf of the District, Department of Human Services (DHS) is seeking a LGSW, LPGC, or equivalent to join a small team providing services to single adults experiencing homelessness within the District.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

Responsibilities

General responsibilities shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Provide comprehensive, strengths-based case management services to youth participants, including assessment, service planning, monitoring, and follow-up.
• Conduct psychosocial assessments to identify participant needs, risks, and protective factors.
• Develop individualized service plans in collaboration with youth, caregivers, and multidisciplinary partners.
• Coordinate and refer participants to appropriate community resources, including mental health services, educational support, employment programs, and housing services.
• Maintain regular contact with participants to ensure consistent engagement and progress toward goals.
• Provide crisis intervention and safety planning when appropriate.
• Collaborate with schools, community partners, and government agencies to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with licensing and program requirements.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and required training to support ongoing professional development.

Requirements

The LGSW, LGPC or equivalent shall have at a minimum:

• Master’s degree in social work (MSW) from a CSWE-accredited program with an active D.C. LGSW license, OR a master’s degree in counseling or a related field from an accredited institution with an active D.C.
• LGPC license, or an equivalent graduate-level behavioral health credential recognized by the District of Columbia.
• Have experience working with youth or young adults (between the ages of 18-24), preferably in case management, counseling, or a related social services environment, and the ability to demonstrate an understanding of trauma-informed care, youth development, and culturally responsive practices.
• Must have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a team environment.
• Be proficient with electronic case management systems and documentation standards.

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
