Clove Counseling PLLC is growing, and we are looking for a skilled Couples Therapist to join our clinical team.

We are particularly interested in clinicians with experience in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), attachment-based therapy, Gottman Method, or other evidence-based approaches to couples work.

This is an opportunity for a clinician who genuinely enjoys working with relationships and wants to build a strong couples-focused caseload within a collaborative private practice.

Clove Counseling is a growing private practice serving individuals, couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults throughout the Fox Valley area and Illinois through in-person and telehealth services.

We believe effective therapy combines strong clinical practice with genuine human connection. Our clinicians are encouraged to develop their own specialties while working within a collaborative team environment.

What You'll Do

• Provide individual and couples therapy
• Work with couples experiencing communication difficulties, emotional disconnection, conflict, intimacy concerns, and relationship transitions
• Support couples navigating infidelity, trust rebuilding, separation, and major life transitions
• Identify and address negative interaction cycles
• Help couples develop healthier communication and emotional connection
• Develop individualized treatment plans
• Maintain timely and clinically appropriate documentation
• Participate in clinical consultation and supervision as appropriate
• Collaborate with other Clove clinicians when clinically indicated

We Are Especially Interested In Clinicians With:

• Experience providing couples therapy
• Training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) or attachment-based approaches
• Gottman Method training or experience
• Experience working with high-conflict couples
• Experience with infidelity and trust repair
• Premarital counseling experience
• Experience addressing intimacy and communication concerns
• A strong understanding of attachment and relationship dynamics
• A culturally responsive and LGBTQ+ affirming clinical approach

Qualifications

Required

• Master's or doctoral degree in a mental health field
• Current Illinois clinical license or appropriate prelicensed status
• Experience providing psychotherapy
• Strong ethical and professional standards
• Ability to maintain timely and accurate documentation

Preferred

• LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent independent clinical licensure
• EFT training
• Gottman training
• Additional couples/relationship therapy training

Compensation

Our current clinician compensation structure is approximately:

• Prelicensed clinicians: 45%
• Partially licensed clinicians: 50%
• Fully licensed clinicians: 55%

Additional compensation opportunities may be available based on experience, licensure, and clinical responsibilities.
