Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations to determine client needs and treatment plans.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, trauma-specific interventions, play therapy, art therapy, and motivational interviewing.
• Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines and HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and proper documentation in medical records.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and conflict management techniques to support clients experiencing acute emotional or behavioral distress.
• Collect data on client progress through ongoing case management, behavioral health tracking, and outcome measurements to inform treatment adjustments.
• Collaborate with families, schools, social workers, and other community resources to coordinate care and support holistic development.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, medical terminology records, and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards for patient care.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or equivalent credential in mental health counseling.
• Proven experience working with children and youth in mental health or behavioral health settings.
• Strong knowledge of child & family counseling techniques, developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), PTSD care, and trauma-specific interventions.
• Familiarity with applied behavior analysis (ABA), evidence-based practices, crisis management, and case management protocols.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds while providing culturally sensitive counseling.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental delays is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement, intake procedures, patient assessment, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
