Duties

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to establish accurate patient diagnoses.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans incorporating evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, behavioral therapy, and psychodynamic therapy.
• Provide direct support through individual, group counseling sessions across outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth settings.
• Manage crisis situations effectively with crisis intervention strategies, crisis management protocols, and trauma-informed care to ensure patient safety.
• Document all clinical interactions meticulously in compliance with HIPAA regulations, clinical documentation standards, medical records protocols, and EMR/EHR systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—including social workers, case managers, special education professionals, and medical staff—to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Engage in ongoing clinical research and data collection to enhance treatment outcomes and contribute to the advancement of behavioral health practices.

Qualifications

• Valid licensure as a Clinical Professional Therapist (LPC or equivalent) with state-specific credentials.
• Proven experience working with adults with PTSD care, addiction counseling, or geriatrics is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), behavioral health interventions, grief counseling, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and social work principles.
• Skilled in crisis management techniques and behavior management strategies for individuals with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health needs.
• Experience working within medical documentation standards using ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), clinical documentation standards, and medical terminology is essential.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and delivering therapy via telehealth modalities is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments utilizing diagnostic tools such as ICD coding systems while adhering to HIPAA guidelines for patient confidentiality.
• Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration within multidisciplinary teams; experience working in outpatient or inpatient settings is advantageous.

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
