Position Overview

We're seeking a compassionate, mission-driven clinician who is passionate about supporting youth involved in the juvenile justice system. This position provides trauma-informed behavioral health assessments for court-referred youth, helping ensure they receive the services and supports needed to promote healing, reduce future justice involvement, and build healthy futures. The clinician will primarily conduct assessments at the Kellin Foundation's Hope Hub while collaborating closely with juvenile court counselors, families, and community partners to develop recommendations, coordinate care, and ensure timely communication and documentation. Duties and Responsibilities

Direct Service (Approximately 75% of work week)

• Deliver clinical services, including assessments, individual therapy, or group therapy as needed based on client demand, with the expectation of 75% of time spent in direct service.
• Collect project information / data on clinical outcomes consistent with the mission and requirements of the grant projects.
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures for clinical care such as timely documentation, periodic chart monitoring/audits, recruitment strategies, and coordination of care.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team member with the agency as community partners, including both within the Kellin Foundation and initiative partners.
• Serve as an important bridge between partners at onsite locations and the main staff at the Kellin Foundation.

Other (Approximately 25% or work week)

• Attend supervision, program and agency meetings related to role
• Actively participate in agency events, trainings, and outreach, representing the agency consistently with the passion and mission of the organization
• Conduct periodic community education and outreach as requested by community partners
• Assist with staff development trainings
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current North Carolina licensure (or provisional licensure) as a mental health professional.
• Passion for the Kellin Foundation's mission and commitment to trauma-informed, family-centered care.
• Experience or strong interest in working with young children (ages 3–5) and their families.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining timely, accurate documentation.
• Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team and build positive relationships with families, community partners, and colleagues.
• Flexible, dependable, and adaptable in a dynamic, community-based work environment.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Office.
• Eligible to enroll as a Medicaid provider (if not already enrolled).
• Current professional liability insurance.

Preferred

• Experience working with children and families experiencing poverty or other social and economic challenges.
• Experience in nonprofit behavioral health and trauma-informed care.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English or other languages) strongly preferred.

Position Structure and Supervisor: Full-time, exempt position supervised by Clinic Director.

Compensation Package

Salary Range: $55,000–$70,000 annually, depending on licensure, experience, and qualifications, plus benefits as outlined below
