The Well Mental and Spiritual Care is a small, nonprofit practice of therapy and spiritual direction in North Carolina. We are professional, supportive, and inclusive. Our goal is to create pathways toward healing and wholeness in the community by offering accessible and affordable mental and spiritual care.

Our newest practice is located in Cary. The Well is housed at Macedonia United Methodist Church, one of our primary partners in this work. Our hope is to engage with other partners in the Cary community in order to collaboratively work to increase access to mental and spiritual care.

Our Ideal Therapist

Our hope is to find the right person to join our practice. This person would be someone who is comfortable working with people from any background or religion. This person would also share our values of healing and wholeness, accessibility of care, social justice and equity, and belonging. The Well rents space in a church building as well, which means that some (but not all) of our clients are Christian or deeply spiritual people.

At this time, we are looking to contract with 1 full-time therapist, specifically someone who specializes in certified play therapy and therapy with children and families. We will consider LMFTs, LCSWs, LCMHCs, and LPCs.

If contracted, you would have a dedicated office for your sole use. You would be contracted as an independent provider. We are offering an 70/30 contractual split, where 30% of each billable hour/group supervision provided would be retained by The Well to cover overhead costs (i.e., administration, rent/internet/utilities, office supplies, requested materials, your Psychology Today profile, and your EHR subscription for case documents). You will be responsible for scheduling your ongoing clients, while The Well will handle initial contact and financial administration. Additionally, you will have to provide your own laptop and cellphone for telehealth, online work, and client communication.

Overall, in our hiring, we are looking a fully licensed therapist who is already approved on insurance panels and can accept one or more insurances, and specializes in any of the following areas:

• Individual, Couple, & Family Therapy with Children and/or Couples
• Trauma: IFS, EMDR, CPT, Somatic, or evidence-based trauma-informed modalities.
• Certified Play Therapist/PCIT
• Psychological Assessment
• The ability to offer faith-based counseling (upon request from the client only) would be a major plus and in-house training can be provided.
