Licensed Clinical Therapist — Behavioral Health & MAT | Flexible Hybrid

Optimum Behavioral Services LLC is hiring an independently licensed therapist to join our outpatient behavioral health and medication-assisted treatment practice in Woodlawn, Maryland.

We are an outpatient practice serving adults across Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Our work is grounded in harm reduction and recovery orientation. Our clients come to us with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, trauma histories, and the practical instability that goes with them — housing, employment, reentry after incarceration. This is real work with people who are often turned away elsewhere, and we support our clinicians accordingly.

COMPENSATION

60% of collections received on your billed sessions. Sessions that are not completed — no-shows and late cancellations — are not compensated. Full terms discussed at the offer stage.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Provide individual psychotherapy to adults on an outpatient basis
• Complete diagnostic assessments and develop treatment plans
• Work alongside our psychiatric providers on shared clients, including those receiving buprenorphine treatment
• Coordinate with case management, primary care, and community partners
• Maintain timely, complete documentation in our electronic health record
• Participate in treatment team meetings

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• Active Maryland licensure at the independent practice level: LCSW-C or LCPC
• Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related clinical field
• Willingness to be credentialed with Maryland Medicaid and our commercial payers
• Experience with adults with substance use disorders, co-occurring diagnoses, and trauma histories
• Comfort working with an urban, predominantly Medicaid-insured adult population
• Reliable documentation habits — notes completed on time
• Current professional liability insurance

PREFERRED

• Experience in a MAT, OTP, or community mental health setting
• Training in CBT, motivational interviewing, or trauma-focused modalities
• Experience with clients involved in the criminal legal system or in reentry
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus

LOCATION

6340 Security Boulevard, Suites Woodlawn, MD 21207. Hybrid — a portion of your week can be worked remotely.
