Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and intake interviews to determine patient needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy utilizing evidence-based modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and behavioral therapy.
• Deliver specialized services including child & family counseling, addiction counseling, PTSD care, Alzheimer’s care, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities.
• Engage in crisis intervention and crisis management to support patients experiencing acute mental health emergencies or behavioral crises.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations and ensure timely updates of medical records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, educators, and community organizations to coordinate comprehensive care plans.
• Participate in clinical research projects and data collection efforts to support ongoing quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice development.
• Must be connected with NC Tracks.

Skills

• Extensive experience in psychotherapy techniques including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and motivational interviewing.
• Proven ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, and individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding for billing purposes, and familiarity with healthcare compliance standards such as HIPAA.
• Skilled in patient assessment, diagnostic evaluation using DSM criteria, case management, and crisis intervention strategies.
• Experience working within hospital settings or home & community care environments is highly preferred.
• Competency in managing medical records electronically and documenting clinical encounters accurately in EMR systems.
• Ability to apply psychopharmacology principles when collaborating with prescribing providers; knowledge of working with people with autism or special education needs is a plus. Join us to make a meaningful difference by empowering individuals on their journey toward mental health recovery.
