Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic mental health team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive clinical counseling services to diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, trauma, behavioral issues, and co-occurring disorders through evidence-based practices and compassionate support. Working with young adults and older adults in a group home /day treatment setting.
Duties
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding standards to determine client needs and treatment plans.
- Provide individual, group, family, and child/youth therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy, and behavioral therapy.
- Implement crisis intervention strategies to manage acute mental health emergencies effectively while ensuring client safety and stability.
- Utilize telehealth platforms to deliver remote counseling services, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and clinical documentation standards.
- Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical ethical guidelines, including progress notes, medical documentation, and treatment goals within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
- Engage in case management activities such as coordinating care with other healthcare providers, supporting clients with co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities, and facilitating referrals for specialized services like special education or inpatient care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding practices, and current research to enhance clinical practice and improve patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of practice.
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or individuals with developmental disabilities; experience in pediatrics or geriatrics is highly desirable.
- Strong background in psychotherapy modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, addiction counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with crisis management protocols, inpatient/outpatient settings, telehealth therapy platforms, and clinical documentation standards.
- Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for accurate diagnosis documentation; experience with EMR/EHR systems preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations involving trauma or PTSD care with professionalism and empathy; experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through research participation or clinical research activities; understanding of HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines is essential.

Pay: $37.09 - $44.67 per hour
