Mindful Therapy Solutions LCSW PLLC is an established, busy Staten Island psychotherapy practice seeking a thoughtful, dependable LCSW who values clinical independence while remaining connected to a professional team.

We are a teaching-oriented practice where consultation and continued clinical development are valued. Our standards are high, and we are committed to creating an environment where experienced clinicians can practice independently without feeling professionally isolated.

About the Position

Our current client needs include a significant number of boys, adolescent males, adult men, couples, and families. We are especially interested in clinicians who are comfortable engaging male clients across developmental stages and addressing concerns such as:

• Anxiety, depression, and emotional regulation
• Trauma and difficult life experiences
• Identity development and self-esteem
• Behavioral and relational concerns
• Family conflict and parenting challenges
• Accountability, boundaries, and healthy relationships

Experience with these populations is welcomed, but equally important is a genuine interest in providing thoughtful, effective psychotherapy.

Schedule and Work Setting

This position is based in our Staten Island office.

Applicants must be available for at least one weekday evening shift from 3:15 p.m.–9:15 p.m. Current evening availability may include Monday, Wednesday, or Friday, depending on office availability. Daytime shifts are also available.

LCSW independent contractors select their schedules from currently available clinical shifts, with at least one evening shift required.

Compensation is fee-for-service and paid per completed 45-minute client sessions, based on the clinician’s established rate.

Although some clients may be appropriate for telehealth, most of our clients request in-person therapy. This is not a fully remote or primarily telehealth position.

Clinical Independence With Professional Connection

LCSWs at Mindful Therapy Solutions practice as independent contractors and are not under clinical supervision. We are seeking an experienced, self-directed LCSW who is comfortable managing their clinical work independently while still valuing connection to a thoughtful professional team.

LCSWs exercise independent clinical judgment and have access to consultation with the practice owner and colleagues when collaboration would be clinically helpful.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy to assigned clients
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and measurable clinical goals
• Maintain timely, accurate, and clinically sound documentation
• Exercise sound, independent clinical judgment
• Communicate professionally with clients, families, and administrative staff
• Consult with the practice owner or colleagues when clinically appropriate
• Maintain appropriate therapeutic boundaries and NASW ethical standards
• Demonstrate consistency and responsibility toward clients

Qualifications

• Current and active New York State LCSW license
• Ability to work in person in Staten Island
• Availability for at least one weekday evening shift
• Strong independent clinical judgment and ethical awareness
• Dependable attendance and effective time management
• Ability to manage a caseload with appropriate professional autonomy
• Ability to complete documentation within required timeframes
• Interest in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families
• Comfort working with a caseload that includes boys and men
• Appreciation for a collegial, team-oriented professional environment

This position is best suited for an experienced, self-directed clinician who values professional autonomy but does not want to practice in isolation.
