About the role
Summary
Under general direction of the Behavioral Health Director, the LCSW will provide a wide range of services for clients with mental health conditions through various treatment methods. Southland focuses on underserved and low-income community members who have mild to moderate impairments due to a mental illness.
Duties & Responsibilities
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Provide clinical services for clients including but not limited to: individuals, groups, couples, and family therapies.
- Provide a wide range of services in addition to just focused on clinical work.
- Appropriately and thoroughly document all services rendered and contact had with clients in the form of billable and non-billable progress notes in compliance with the State, County, Medi-Cal, and agency standards.
- Manage crisis situations in a clinically sound and professional manner.
- Coordinate care for clients in collaboration with other clinic staff members or other community agencies as part of a multidisciplinary team member.
- Work in partnership with clients and other clinic staff members to ensure appropriate treatment and service coordination.
- Create and support the client’s care plan and monitor progress on a regular basis.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, case conferences, peer review meetings, and supervision sessions.
- May perform and/or participate in projects involving data collection, summarization, analysis and design.
- May coordinate development of mental health services data and information, participate in internal/external community events as needed.
- May perform any other function as needed by management and the agency.
Minimum Requirements
Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to satisfactorily complete job:
- Master’s Degree
- LCSW (Active California License)
- Knowledge of DSM-5/ICD-10 and other best practices.
- Demonstrates knowledge of and sensitivity towards various Asian cultures and other ethnic cultures.
- Ability to work in multidisciplinary team of care including, peers, consumers, and families.
- Excellent networking, verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong multi-tasking, computer skills and ability to be proficient and timely with multiple deadlines.
- California Driver’s License with reliable transportation and proof of car insurance.
- Ability to do some travel for conferences, meetings, and trainings.
- Ability to work flexible schedule as needed.
- Verification of employment eligibility.
- Must be bilingual English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese.
- Must pass background check before hire.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $99,340.80 per year
