The First Responders Wellness Center is a rapidly expanding and active therapy practice with locations in Lombard, Lincolnshire, and Chicago, serving the broader Chicagoland area. Our practice is dedicated to providing specialized mental health services to first responders, as well as their family members. We pride ourselves on a unique and supportive approach, where our clients are treated by clinicians who are either first responders themselves or have personal connections to the first responder or veteran community.

Clinicians at the First Responders Wellness Center are not required to build their own clientele or engage in self-marketing efforts, allowing them to focus entirely on client care and professional development. ```Job Summary:```

We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor to join our team. As a Licensed provider, you will provide counseling services to individuals and if you would choose couples, and/or groups experiencing mental health challenges. Your role will involve therapy, annual wellness visits, individual debriefings. The clinician will be assessing clients' needs, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to promote emotional well-being and personal growth for first responders.

```Responsibilities:```

• Provide comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs

• Conduct yearly wellness visits for police and fire departments

• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' goals and needs

• Provide counseling services using evidence-based therapeutic approaches

• Facilitate individual and/or couples/ group therapy sessions

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care for clients

• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with legal and ethical standards

• Stay up-to-date with current research and best practices in the field of mental health counseling

• Provide crisis intervention services as needed

```Qualifications:```

• Master's degree in Counseling or social work

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social worker or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor or

• Experience working with trauma

• Knowledge of PTSD, alcohol abuse, anxiety and depression

• Proficiency in conducting assessments and developing treatment plans

• Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and interventions

• Familiarity with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), CPT, Exposure, DBT, EMDR and other evidence-based practices

• Ability to provide addiction counseling and support for individuals with substance use disorders

• Experience in case management and coordinating care with other healthcare providers

• Ability to provide trauma-informed care for individuals experiencing PTSD

Pay: $70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
