About the role

The organization is seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) to serve as an external contracted Clinical Supervisor to provide required clinical supervision, documentation oversight, and licensure support for LMSW-level clinicians, interns, and designated clinical staff. This role ensures compliance with Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners requirements, maintains clinical quality standards, and supports staff development across behavioral health programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate biweekly group clinical supervision for designated staff
  • Provide weekly individual supervision for LMSW-level clinicians
  • Provide biweekly supervision for LMSW 1099 contractors
  • Provide weekly clinical consultation for independently licensed clinicians as needed
  • Provide weekly supervision for social work interns, including school documentation and liaison coordination
  • Review, sign, and approve clinical documentation weekly to ensure compliance with medical necessity and regulatory standards
  • Provide consultation on complex cases, treatment planning, and level-of-care decisions
  • Ensure supervision documentation meets Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners requirements
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards of clinical social work practice

Qualifications

  • Active LCSW-C in the state of Maryland or equivalent eligible license
  • 3–5 years post-licensure clinical experience
  • Experience providing supervision to LMSWs and interns
  • Knowledge of behavioral health documentation and compliance requirements
  • Experience in outpatient or community mental health settings preferred
  • Strong communication and leadership skills

Compensation

$50 – $200 per hour (1099 contractor), commensurate with experience and scope of supervision duties.

Scope of Need

This position ensures continuity of clinical supervision following staffing transitions and supports compliance with licensure requirements for LMSW clinicians and interns. It is critical to maintaining clinical oversight and uninterrupted service delivery.
