Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) – OMHC

Position Summary

The Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor will provide clinically appropriate behavioral health services to OMHC patients in accordance with Maryland laws, professional standards, BHA requirements, and Daily Revive Behavioral Health Clinic policies and procedures.

The ideal candidate will have strong clinical assessment and counseling skills, excellent documentation practices, and the ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, and other behavioral health professionals.

Essential Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive behavioral health assessments and clinical evaluations within the scope of licensure.
• Provide individual psychotherapy and counseling services to adults receiving OMHC services.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans.
• Identify patients' behavioral health needs, strengths, risks, and treatment goals.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions appropriate to the patient's diagnosis and clinical needs.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment interventions as clinically indicated.
• Maintain timely, accurate, and complete clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Complete required assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other clinical documentation in accordance with applicable requirements.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case consultation.
• Coordinate care with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, as permitted and clinically appropriate.
• Assess and respond appropriately to changes in patient functioning, including safety and risk concerns.
• Identify and appropriately address suicidal ideation, homicidal ideation, crisis situations, and other behavioral health risks within the scope of professional training and applicable policies.
• Participate in case conferences, staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and clinical consultations.
• Maintain compliance with Maryland confidentiality, documentation, ethical, and professional requirements.
• Provide services through in-person and/or telehealth modalities as authorized by the clinic and permitted under Maryland requirements.
• Maintain professional boundaries and adhere to applicable ethical standards.
• Perform other clinical duties consistent with the LCPC scope of practice and OMHC program requirements.

Qualifications Required

• Current, unrestricted Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license in the State of Maryland.
• Master's degree in Counseling, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, or a closely related counseling field from an appropriately accredited institution.
• Clinical experience providing mental health counseling and psychotherapy.
• Experience conducting behavioral health assessments and developing treatment plans.
• Knowledge of evidence-based behavioral health treatment approaches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary behavioral health team.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable Maryland requirements.

Pay: $50.00 - $65.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 per week
